A Curse. A Warrior. A Love That Challenges Fate.

Medusa once believed Athena’s temple could protect her from a life chosen by others. Instead, a desperate plea changes her forever. Exiled to the island of Sarpedon, she survives centuries of hunters and whispered stories until the world remembers only a monster.

Then a stranger clad in black armor arrives on her shores. The Black Knight carries a curse of his own—one that turns every battle into a struggle against the darkness within him. Unlike the hunters before him, he has come to understand, not conquer.

Their uneasy encounter becomes a journey through ancient mysteries, danger, and war. As trust deepens into something neither expected, Medusa and the Knight must confront the weight of their pasts—and decide how far they will go to claim a future of their own.

Blending Greek mythology with medieval legend, Serpent and Steel is a sweeping mythical romance about belonging, redemption, and the power of choosing who we become.

Two Cursed Souls. One Unlikely Alliance.

Before the Monster, There Was a Woman Seeking Sanctuary.

Silence lingered. The High Priestess studied her without haste. “Protection from whom?”

“My father,” Medusa whispered, the word tasting of ash. “And from every man who believes he has the right to claim me.”

The priestess’s shadow fell across Medusa’s trembling hands. “Many women come here in fear,” she said evenly. “Few remain for faith.”

Medusa lifted her face — eyes rimmed red, sleepless, resolute beneath the grief. “I do not know faith,” she admitted. “I only know that if I return, whatever remains of me will not.”

A breath passed between them. “Bring water,” the High Priestess said to the attendant at the door.

Then, softer — but no less firm: “If you cross this threshold, your life will cease to belong to you. The vows of Athena bind tighter than iron.”

She bent slightly, forcing Medusa to meet her gaze. “Do you understand?”

Terror flickered across Medusa’s features — but beneath it burned something harder. “Yes,” she said at last, voice steady despite the tremor in her hands. “Better iron than chains of gold.”
